An exhibition of carnival photographs by Janko Levanič from Ptuj (Slovenia) was opened on Monday, 23 March in “ART Centre Banja Luka”.
In addition to many visitors and media representatives, the opening was attended by Janko Levanič the author and Zvonko Križaj, this year’s Prince of "Kurentovanje" /Carnival of Kurent/ in Ptuj.
The exhibition was opened by Mr. Branko Zupanc, consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka. The Association of the Slovenians of the RS "Triglav" Banja Luka got involved in the organisation of the exhibition, while the sponsor was Perutnina Ptuj S doo, Srbac.
Beside some 60 photographs with motives from carnivals in BiH, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria and France, the visitors had the opportunity to see the original costume of “KURENT” in natural size brought by the guests from Ptuj.
The exhibition is opened from 23 to 29 March.
