The Night with Andersen was organised for the tenth time already in the library of Anton Tomaž Linhart in Radovljica on 27 March and this was the second time that two of our students (Anastasija and Nikolina Jerinić) were invited to join the event.
Pupils from elementary schools in Radovljica and vicinity created throughout the night and in the morning they showed their friends, parents and journalists what had been happening during the night. They made wizard’s hats, they learned how to do magic, they had karaoke, read Little Red Riding Hood in different languages, made puppets and played Andersen’s fairy-tale Tinderbox.
Andersen’s night takes place throughout the world on the same night. This year participants were from Australia, USA, Africa, Denmark, Greece, Germany, Great Britain, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and Poland. Many media representatives reported on what the young people did during the night and they also emphasised that the event was attended by students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian from Banja Luka.
