Unesco declared 23 April as the World Book and Copyright Day. We marked the Book Night at the supply teaching lessons of Slovenian in Banja Luka.

The Book Night gathers all generations of readers all over the world and we marked it with adults and two young readers. We began the literary night by reading Župančič’s poem “Na Jurjevo”. Therefore, we linked the Book Day with getting familiar with traditional spring customs. We continued with books we most often read. Each person brought his/her own favourite book and said why that particular book was chosen and read a part from it. At the end of the literary evening we ourselves were creative and made an alphabet dialogue. This interesting exercise in creative writing was a fun relaxation while the stories of authors we listened to that evening made closer to us the art word in a special manner – via personal experience of readers.
