Novo mesto, 2 June 2015
On Tuesday, 2 June, in the Cultural Centre “Janez Trdina” in Novo mesto there met principals of high schools of Banja Luka and Novo mesto, representatives of Association for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto and Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav” Banja Luka and made an agreement on mutual cooperation.
By officially signing the agreement they committed to further development and preservation of friendly relations based on the principles of solidarity, equality and mutuality, exchange of experience in the field of education and culture as well as the exchange of students and teachers.
Signatures on the document on cooperation are the result of cooperation between the Association for the Development of Voluntary Work Novo mesto and Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav” Banja Luka which has lasted over many years and, of course, supported by authorities of both cities. Signing the document is merely a formal upgrade of already successful work; and, as deputy mayor of Novo mesto Boštjan Grobler and a representative of City Authority of Banja Luka Dragana Popović have stressed, it is a guarantee for good work in the future.
Following a music performance by young organist from Novo mesto there was the official signing of the agreement – it was signed by the principal of Grammar School Novo mesto Mojca Lukšič, principal of Centre of Biotechnics and Tourism Tone Hrovat, principal of School Centre Štefan David, principal of Electrical Engineering School Vojislav Popović, principal of Civil Engineering School Banja Luka Ljuban Bajić, principal of Technical School Banja Luka Kristina Mrđa, principal of Grammar School Banja Luka Zoran Pejašinović, principal of Agricultural School Banja Luka Edi Haneš, president of the Association of the Slovenians of the RS “Triglav” Marija Grbić and Branka Bukovec, DRPD secretary and the designer of the project.
