The 10th Youth Summer School took place in Ljubljana from 29 June to 10 July while the 34th Summer School of Slovenian took place from 6-31 July. Both schools were organised by Centre for Slovenian as second/foreign language.
Our pupils attended both schools of Slovenian. The Youth Summer School was attended by Anja Ambrožič, Tijana Dimitrijević, Dorotea Katalina, Mateja Hričak and Sofija Vranješ, while Milica Glizijan attended the school for students above 18. Centre for Slovenian as second/foreign language always prepares an excellent programme. Lessons were organised in the morning, while cultural, sport and entertaining activities and excursions took place in the afternoon. 106 participants of Youth Summer School visited Bled, Piran and Krvavec, bathed in the sea, lake and swimming pool, visited Sečovlje salt works and adrenaline park, went to Šmarna gora and toured Ljubljana. They watched Slovenian “Road to heaven” and drama play “Pavla above the abyss”. There were workshops and sport competitions organised, as well as introductory evening, music evening, performance by Slovenian pupils from Argentina and farewell evening. All groups presented themselves at the final event, while the participants received certificates. Youth parted and promised each other to meet again next year at one of the summer schools of Slovenian
