On Saturday, 19 September, the 12th Review of Cultural Creativity of the RS national minorities was held in the Obilićevo hall, Banja Luka. There participated representatives of ten national minorities of the Republic of Srpska.

Prior to the Review, an official reception was held in the National Minorities’ Club of the City of Banja Luka, which was attended by the mayor of Banja Luka, Slobodan Gavranović, ministers in the RS Government Zlatan Klokić and Dane Malešević, representatives of eight embassies of mother countries of national minorities, presidents of city associations of national minorities, president of RS National Minorities Union, and many guests.
In addition to the president of the RS National Minorities Union Mr. Franjo Rover, the attendees were addressed by Mr. Radenko Đurica on behalf of the City of Banja Luka and Mrs. Milica Kotur Assistant Minister of Culture of the Republic of Srpska.
The event was officially opened by Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Zlatan Klokić, who pointed out that the event was of great importance for Srpska, as it was the opportunity to present customs and culture of peoples living in the area.
There were over 150 participants in the event, coming from ten groups of national minorities, who performed traditional dances, songs, folklore and recitals.
Association of Slovenians Triglav Banja Luka was presented by children folklore ensemble (Dances from Slovenia) and Mixed choir “Davorin Jenko” (Slovenian folk song).
Participants also presented their national cuisine so that all the attendees were able to enjoy the offered specialties after the programme.
In addition, at one of the stands there were exhibited works in decoupage and ceramics techniques which were made by members of national minorities during workshops organised by Association “Triglav”.
