Thirteen pupils of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian socialised with their peers from the Elementary School Zgornji Kašelj during the excursion. They attended the lessons, and in the afternoon they got familiar with everyday lives of Slovenian pupils.
On Sunday, April 24, our pupils, together with students and other participants to the excursion visited the Technical Museum of Slovenia. Following the tour, they went to their peers and in the morning together to school. They were warmly greeted at school and after the lessons the parents of their hosts made sure they had a pleasant afternoon. On Tuesday morning also came others and we were welcomed by librarian Tina Janc, who also organised the exchange of pupils, and principal of the school Matjaž Zajelšnik. Librarian Tina presented each pupil with a book by Simona Lečnik Slovenian Language and I, book about how learning Slovenian is not that simple. Vice president of the Association of Slovenians Triglav Nataša Kajmaković thanked for the cooperation to the principal and librarian on behalf of the Association.
Soon will we have the opportunity to return the hospitality to pupils of Elementary School Zgornji Kašelj as they will attend the 17th Gathering of students of the Slovenian language and culture on 21-22 May in Laktaši.
