The school year has ended, and on Wednesday, 8 June, we awarded the children and youth with certificates and commendations for attending lessons. Among forty pupils regularly attending lessons in Banja Luka and Slatina, there were two who are only to start with their education in autumn. Pupils received commendations and book awards for readers badge and for their participation in the project Library – Universe of Treasure.

Guests of the final event were the Slovenian writer Tone Partljič and director of Library Anton Tomaž Linhart Božena Kolman Finžgar. Tone Partljič is an excellent story-teller; therefore, both evenings that he spent with us were full of interesting stories and humour. Each year, we see that visits by creators leave marks and we are sure that this year will be the same. Children enjoyed listening and they had most fun when they joined him in improvisations. Pupils received certificates and commendations, while those who were diligent in reading also received book awards. Pupil Aleksandra Špehar read the biggest number of books, therefore Božena Kolman Finžgar awarded her for the participation in the project Library – Universe of Treasure. Aleksandra Špehar, Ana Cucek and Nikša Perušić have not missed a single lesson in this school year and therefore received special awards.

At the end of the event we encouraged the pupils to read during summer and distributed leaflets Poletavci – summer readers and wished them happy holidays.
