On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Mixed choir “Davorin Jenko” of the Association of Slovenians “Triglav” a concert was held on 14 June 2016 in Banski dvor in Banja Luka. The hall was filled with audience, and music lovers had the opportunity to enjoy the programme we prepared together with our guests.

Concert entitled “Tam sem jaz doma” /That is where I feel like at home/ was opened by choir “Davorin Jenko” and then followed the performance of our guests: Miljana Brezičanin (sopranoist) accompanied by Dunja Marković on piano, Nikola Jović (guitar), Dejan Janković (piano) and Kristina Ivanović (violin) accompanied by Željka Jovanić on piano. After one more song by our choir, consul of the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Banja Luka Mr. Marjan Ristič awarded Gallus' acknowledgments to choir members. Gallus' badge is the highest acknowledgement in the field of music awarded to individuals by Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities for active participation in amateur music activities. Bronze badge for over 5 years of singing in the choir was awarded to Bogdana Perendija, Marijana Bubalo, Milka Smiljanić, Nataša Janković, Dražena Lepir, Vanja Topić, Fikreta Todorovac, Ivana Lovšin, Zlata Ćurić and Zorka Vasojević. Silver badge for over 10 years of singing in the choir was awarded to Aziza Škulj, Ana Panić, Olga Suvajac, Marija Grujić, Ljiljana Sukara, Nada Kolundžija, Nada Šunkić, Miroslav Galič, Biljana Kojić, Vesna Šišljagić, Zdenka Smiljčić and Dragana Đaković. Gold badge for over 15 years of singing in the choir was awarded to Stanko Prosen.
Following the award of acknowledgements, choir performed one more song thus officially ending the concert. And, as mentioned in the introduction at the concert “Life is more than just what our everyday life teaches us. It is not important what we have or collect but what we give”, this concert showed that our choir can give a lot.
