Pupils and students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian study also during summer as they take part at many summer schools and camps. Motto of this year's youth summer school in Ljubljana was »Slovenian is no problem for me.«

Among 122 participants to the Youth summer school, from 27 June to 8 July, there were also three children from our Association - Mihaela Lunić, Marija Pristaš and Mihael Cucek. Participants came from fourteen different countries, and therefore there were a lot of possibilities for pleasant socialising and meeting peers. They were connected by the same desire – to learn Slovenian and see Slovenia, as well as by everything else that connects young people: music, dance, sport, laughter…

Eight of our students Ana Katalina, Elena Lunić, Viktor Perušić, Andrej Drinić, Jovan Dimitrijević, Aleksandra Špehar, Rastko Zrnić and Aleksandar Zrnić, arrived on 10 July to summer school “Slovenian in a different way” to Radenci on the Kolpa river. Special feature of that summer school is that students from Croatia, BiH, Serbia, Germany and the Czech Republic can also express their artistic knowledge while learning Slovenian. The aim is to get familiar with tradition of areas at the Kolpa river, and therefore the creativity is closely connected with old customs. And it is also time for some canoeing.

Youth Summer School is organised by Centre for Slovenian as Second/Foreign Language, while summer school “Slovenian in a different way” by Slovenian Emigrant Association in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Sport. Our student will take part at the summer school of Slovenian language and culture “Hello, this is Slovenian Mediterranean” in Koper, which is organised by Faculty of Humanistic Arts of the University in Primorska.
