In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia, Slovenian Institute for Education and Centre of School and Extracurricular Activities, the Slovenian Emigrant Association organised a creative summer school for youth entitled – Slovenian in a different way.

Summer school was held from 10 July to 16 July 2016 in Radenci, Bela krajina. In the summer school there participated Slovenian teachers Ksenja Žižek and Lea Lehner, as well as the teacher of art Natalija Veselič-Martinjak. Beside learning Slovenian, focus of the school was on art creativity and learning about Slovenian national art. All the works made by school participants were presented on the last day of socialising in the Centre where a short show took place.

During the summer school for children living outside Slovenia, the Centre also hosted children from Slovenia with whom the participants even better had the opportunity to improve their Slovenian. As many as eight of our pupils took part at this summer school - Ana Katalina, Elena Lunić, Viktor Perušić, Andrej Drinić, Jovan Dimitrijević, Aleksandra Špehar, Rastko Zrnić and Aleksandar Zrnić.
