On Friday, 18 November, and Saturday, 19 November, on the premises of the National Minorities' Club in Banja Luka creative workshops were held.
They were led by Božena Kolman Finžgar and Katja Bevk, from the Library of Anton Tomaž Linhart from Radovljica. The workshops were held as part of the project Library – Universe of Treasure that has been connecting the library from Radovljaica and the Association Triglav for four years.
The workshops were dedicated to decorating linen bags. There participated adults, pupils, students but also guests from Grammar School Ledina from Ljubljana. They all were able to show their talent for art, some drew, others painted, using stamps made of potato, while others took a needle and a thread and attached something to the bag. Each and every bag is therefore special. For all those who are fond of creating, creative workshops are the possibility to socialise, while items made there stay as a nice memory thereof.
Introduction to the workshops for adults and children was the fairytale Wheat – the most beautiful flower. Librarian Katja Bevk took us to the world of fairytales that was not merely imaginative as it hides much truth about the world we live in. Art improves our lives, through art we interact, and that is why any link with literature, music, film and fine arts are a precious part of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian.
