Friday evening of 6 March 2017 was special to many inhabitants of Banja Luka as well as other fans of music who attended the concert of Slovenian zither quartet from Slovenia. The concert was organised by Slovenian Emigrants' Association and the Association of Slovenians Triglav Banja Luka.

The small hall of the Cultural Centre Banski dvor is the right place for such events. That space facilitated the encounter of two types of art, 20th century art and music popular in that period. Zither, an instrument unknown to many, originating from the Alpine region was presented to the audience in detail by group leader Peter Napret. During the concert, professor Napret, an excellent violinist and zither player, moderated the show telling the audience about the content of the songs they played. There were no language barriers, they were overcome by wonderful music.
Four unique young artists Peter Napret, Anita Veršec, Janja Brlec and Tomaž Plahutnik, zither players, played Slovenian folk and art songs, movie soundtrack, jazz music and modern composers' music on this gentle and quiet instrument. They very well prepared notes for different music directions which may be performed on zither.
Zither, an old instrument, lives again and takes the place it deserves. It won the hearts of many people.
