On 17 October 2008, a book entitled “Slovenci v BiH skozi pričevanju spominov in literarne podobe 1831-2007” /Slovenians in BiH through memories and literary works/ by author Vera Kržišnik – Bukič, PhD, was presented in Culture Centre Banski dvor in Banja Luka.
The presentation was organised by the Association of the Slovenians of the Republic of Srpska Triglav Banja Luka. Beside the author and a number of Slovenians from and around Banja Luka, in attendance were also many interested citizens of Banja Luka. It was with great interest that they observed Vera Kržišnik-Bukič, PhD, describing extensive recordings, which are the result of her research and efforts invested. Her work is not only the result of historians and sociologists’ interest, but primarily a desire to emphasise the importance of Slovenians she met during her 23-year-long residing and working in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Publicist Slavko Podgorelec presented the life, work of and book by Vera Kržišnik – Bukič, PhD, to the attendees.
The book is not only important for us, Slovenians residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it also is of great archive importance for the present and future generations.
