The trail of remembrance and comradeship or trail along the wire is a 32.5 km long walkaway around Ljubljana.
In the Second World War, a barbed-wire fence was erected around Ljubljana from 23 February 1942 to 26 May 1945. The fence was erected by Italian occupiers but despite that there were secret walkaways used by the wounded, partisans and inhabitants without proper permits. That is why the wire became the symbol of defiance and revenge against the occupier.
This year was the 61st anniversary of the event. On 6 May, at 8.00 a.m., 8 check points were available for all those who wanted to give their contribution to this unique event by walking a long or short section of the trail.
The Association of the Slovenians of the RS Triglav Banja Luka included this event in its calendar with active participation of pupils and students of the supply teaching lessons and members of the Association.
