On 15 and 16 November 2008, our Association hosted members of the Association Briški Grič from Števerjan pri Gorici.
All of our members who visited Števerjan in May this year surely remember pleasant moments spent in this Slovenian village in Italy. In order to preserve friendly contacts, we invited Slovenians from that bordering area for a two-day visit to our city.
Our active members and the President of our Association, Mrs. Marija Grbić, welcomed over 30 members of the Association Briški Grič. We presented the activities of our Association to our guests, whereupon they described their successful activities.
Their stay in Banja Luka was a relaxed one, so that they spent most of their time sightseeing, shopping and socialising with our active members.
Socialising of Slovenians living in bordering areas and abroad and the exchange of experience among them is very important and helps a lot in preserving the identity and relations with the homeland.
