Representatives of the Association of the Slovenians Triglav were invited to attend a seminar entitled “Euro-projects and connecting” which took place on 6 and 7 November 2008 in Belgrade. The seminar was organised by “Urad za Evropo Beograd” /Office for Europe, Belgrade/, together with the Office for Slovenians Abroad.
The purpose of the seminar was to increase the activities of Slovenian associations in the region and improve the general state of associations and their members, get them familiar with Euro-projects, encourage members of associations to take interest in Euro-projects and the participation in projects funded by the European Union, as well as to make a basis for associations in the region to connect.
Beside representatives of our Association, the seminar was attended by representatives of associations of the Slovenians from Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy, as well as a representative of the Office for Slovenians Abroad, the Slovenian Business Club from Serbia, and representatives of the Office for Europe from Italy and Serbia.
The seminar was an excellent opportunity for the associations to present their activities, problems they face and ways of resolving them, as well as to exchange knowledge and experience. It also gave a good ground to think about the possibilities opening up by taking part in projects funded by the EU.
