Pupils of the Elementary School bratov Polančičev and students of First Grammar School Maribor came with their teachers on excursion in Banjaluka.
They were welcomed on Friday, 6 October, by pupils and students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian who were their guests in April. During the spring excursion we visited Maribor and its vicinity, and now it was time to show Banjaluka to our new friends.
Beside teachers accompanying pupils and students, there arrived also Dušan Tomažič, a journalist of Maribor TV Broadcasting who showed us many interesting things in Maribor. On Saturday, the Association of Slovenians Triglav Banjaluka organised a tour to Slatina for children, youth and adults. Pupils of tourist group of the Elementary School Holandija Slatina, headed by Oksana Lunić, presented the area. We continued to a place nearby with playgrounds. We were very well welcomed there.
On Friday and Saturday evening the youth wanted to show their peers where they like having most fun and on Sunday, 8 October, they made a walking tour in Banjaluka in the morning. Teachers were accompanied by members of the Association, and pupils and students were with their hosts. In the afternoon, the guests from Maribor went home, and connection with them will not be difficult to maintain with the assistance of modern technologies.
