It is the end of the school year. Schools prepare an overview of their work and award the best pupils. Day of Pupils’ Achievements took place in Elementary School Holandija in Slatina on 30 May.

This event marked 105 years of education in Slatina and 45th anniversary of Elementary School Holandija. There performed pupils of all grades, from the 1st to the 9th. We could hear school choir and reciters, see a play Confused Fairy-tale, hear about school anecdotes, while the youngest and a bit elder thrilled us with dances and rhythmic.

Supply teaching lessons of Slovenian language and culture have taken place in Elementary School Holandija for a long time. Our pupils presented themselves at the school event as well. Elena and Katja Lunić, Gabrijela and Martina Tavčar, Stefan Kuprešak and Julijana Jakša performed in a short play Why we exist. It is precious to hear Slovenian in the area where Slovenians moved almost 100 years ago.
