Many visitors gathered in Slatina on 23 June 2018. They included Slovenians, those living in the area, Slovenians of Banjaluka, Slovenian emigrants, living all over the world today and friends, who are happy to spend good time with us.
The Association of Slovenians Triglav Banjaluka always remembers their ancestors, their customs, culture, language. They want to preserve the memories. Stands used to be a central place for exhibition and sales, and the tradition continues. Beside the stand of the Association Triglav, there were others presenting the goods of wine producer “Aleksini vinogradi” by family Babić, Association “Women's smile” Laktaši and members of national minorities, Czechs and Italians. At the beginning of the event a parade was organised through Slatina with the participation of Brass Band Sv. Anton Pobegi, City Band Novo mesto, Mixed choir Davorin Jenko and Children folklore group of the Association Triglav. For all those who were in Slatina on 23 June it was a music and dance greeting and invitation to Slovenian party.
In the programme part, run by Želimir Šarić, beside brass bands there were also choir Davorin Jenko of the Association Triglav Banjaluka and Children Folklore Group of Association Triglav. The guests were greeted by Mladen Lunić, on behalf of the Association, consul of the Consular Office of the Republic of Slovenia in Banjaluka, Marjan Ristič and deputy Mayor of Laktaši Miroslav Kodžoman. Among many guests, there were also Igor Kotjelnikov from the Ministry of Education and Culture and Vesna Marić, a representative of the City of Banjaluka.
