On Sunday, September 27th, 2020, in the pleasant ambience of the "Nature Park" picnic area in Jaružani, in the municipality of Laktaši, the 11th Slovenian Day was held, a traditional gathering of the Slovenian national minority in the Banja Luka region, this time in a slightly different edition, respecting preventive measures during a pandemic.
The organizer of the gathering, the Association of Slovenians of RS "Triglav" from Banja Luka, not wanting to break the tradition of meeting at the event that was held in Slatina in previous years, invited its members to gather at the "Slovenian Day".
The weather conditions were favourable for the visitors and everyone could enjoy the autumn sun in the open space, in a natural environment, and spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon with their families and friends.

The stand was not absent either. There were exhibited our annual bulletins, bulletins “To smo mi”, written by students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian language as well as our bilingual books for adults and bilingual books for young people. All this was printed in the organization of our Association, and we try to make our stand different every year, to show something worth remembering for all of us. So this year, when we are threatened by the corona virus, we remembered May 20, the Bee Day. At the beginning of the pandemic, the organizer, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in BiH, with the logistical assistance of our association, participated in the morning RTRS programme on beekeeping, the importance of bees, mutual cooperation of beekeepers and connections with beekeepers around the world. The Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH, Ms. Zorica Bukinac, Professor Goran Mirjanić from the Department of Beekeeping at the Faculty of Banja Luka, Damir Barašin, President of the Beekeepers' Association Banja Luka, and Duška Radaković participated in the TV show.
The written words on our stand were enriched by items such as an old beehive, a painted frying pan, a hayrack, dolls in folk costumes, the famous cviček wine from Dolenjska, a small Slovenian flag, Bela krajina bread and piles of other beautiful items.
