On Saturday, September 3, in Zenica, on the premises of the Pensioners' Centre, a ceremony was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the work of the Association of Slovenians "Encijan" from Zenica, as well as the 6th meeting of Slovenian associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The celebration began with the opening of an exhibition of works of art by artists from Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and continued with a ceremonial academy where the history of the Encijan Association was presented and certificates of appreciation awarded to deserving individuals with an appropriate musical program. On that occasion, a posthumous certificate of thanks was awarded to Marija Grbić, the long-term president of the Association of Slovenians "Triglav" Banja Luka.
Before the formal academy, a meeting was held between the state secretary with colleagues from the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad and the presidents and representatives of Slovenian associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they presented their associations and outlined the needs and problems they face in their work.
