After a two-year long break, due to the imposed epidemiological restrictions related to the Corona virus, on November 5, 2022, the gathering of Slovenian choirs took place in Banja Luka in the Youth Center.

The members of Mixed choir Davorin Jenko, as hosts, happily welcomed their old friends, singers from Mixed choir Camerata Slovenica from Sarajevo and Women choir Slovenčice from Tuzla. To our great pleasure, the representative of the Consular Office in Banja Luka, Mr. Boris Jelovšek, attended the concert, as well as representatives of the associations of Slovenians from Sarajevo and Tuzla. We were particularly pleased by the attendance of many representatives and members of the associations of national minorities from Banja Luka, among others Italians, Czechs and Macedonians, who came to the concert. The guests were greeted by the representative of the Association of Slovenians Triglav, Mr. Slavko Rolih, and the representative of the Consular Office in Banja Luka, Mr. Boris Jelovšek.

The dear guests arrived, the hall was full and all that was left was to hear the magical choir singing. As tradition dictates, a Slovenian folk song was sung at the meetings, but old town songs and sevdalinka from these areas could also be heard. The performers were particularly inspired and the hall was filled with the sounds of well-known melodies.

The choirs performed five compositions each, and the concert ended with the joint composition "On the lake" under the baton of our conductor Vanja Topić Vještica.
