The Association of Slovenians "Triglav" Banja Luka received an invitation from the Association of Slovenians "Lipa" Prijedor to attend the celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of their activity on December 10, 2022, which was also the 25th Christmas party in Prijedor. The event was organized under the name "Anytime, Anywhere - We Are Always Slovenians" Association "Triglav" was represented by four members.
In the "Kozara" cinema, a concert with a rich cultural program began at 6 p.m. President of the Association of Slovenians "Lipa" from Prijedor, Alenka Uduč, briefly presented the activities of the Association, its work and the importance of its activities. Ambassador of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Damijan Sedar gave the speech to the attendees with words of praise, followed by the vice president of the Prijedor City Assembly Igor Kneginjić. The artistic program began with a play by children from Prijedor who attend Slovenian language classes, led by teacher Barbara Goršič, and then guests from Pivka Cultural Society "Studenec" sang a mix of Slovenian folk songs. The singing group "Čebelice" from Prijedor sang three songs, so the audience also accepted the rhythm of well-known Slovenian melodies. Former members of the Association who are now studying music in Slovenia participated as guests.
At 8 p.m., the festive atmosphere moved to the hotel "Prijedor" where the program continued with the cheerful sounds of the orchestra from Novo Mesto. Ambassador of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Damijan Sedar presented the President of the Association Alenka Uduč with an award for her successful long-term work on the preservation and nurturing of Slovenian culture among Slovenians and their descendants in Prijedor. Among the guests, we welcomed the honorary member of the Association, Branka Bukovec from Novo Mesto, as well as the representative of the Slovenian consulate in Banja Luka, Mr. Boris Jelovšek.
