At the 9th regular election assembly of the Association of Slovenians of the RS "Triglav" Banja Luka, held on February 4, 2023, the new leadership of the Association was elected.
The Assembly was held in the multimedia hall of the Jewish Cultural Center in Banja Luka, with the presence of a large number of members of the Association. We were also accompanied by the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zvone Žigon, as well as the head of the Consular Office in Banja Luka, Boris Jelovšek.
After the election of the working presidency and the president of the assembly, we moved on to other items on the agenda. The Activity Report for the period 1.1.2020-31.12.2022, Financial report for the period 1.1.2020-31.12.2022 and the Report of the Supervisory Board for the mentioned period were presented, which were all unanimously adopted.
At the proposal of the Executive Board of the Association, the items of the agenda related to the election of the president and vice-president of the Association, as well as new members of the Executive Board and members of the Supervisory Board, were put to the vote. The assembly unanimously adopted all proposals and the new leadership was elected in the following composition:

The newly elected president of the Association, Mladen Lunić, presented the program orientation and work program for the period 2023-2026 and put to a vote amendments to the Statute, which the assembly unanimously adopted.
After all items on the agenda were exhausted, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH, Zvone Žigon, addressed the assembly, conveyed the greetings of H.E. Damijan Sedar, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed his satisfaction with the election of the new leadership, especially considering the difficult period that is behind us and that is the loss of the long-time president Marija Grbić, who was the true initiator of the work and activities of the Association. He praised the work of the Association and pointed out that the 106 activities carried out in the last three years make this Association one of the most active not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in the region and in Europe. He reiterated that the Association has the full support of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Bosnia and Herzegovina and presented a symbolic gift to the Association.
After the successfully held assembly, there was a snack during which new ideas for project activities began to emerge.
