From 25 January through 5 February 2010, the 16th Winter School of the Slovenian Language took place in Ljubljana, in the organisation of the Centre for the Slovenian Language as Second/Foreign Language at the Faculty of Arts of the University in Ljubljana.

The Winter School is intended for those who are willing to learn Slovenian. In addition to the language course, the Winter School offered a variety of different activities in the programme, including lectures on Slovenian culture, workshops and sport activities. The activities took place in the afternoon hours.

In addition to the tour of Ljubljana, the participants attended a movie afternoon and watched a love drama by Metod Pavec "Estrellita". They also went skating in the Tivoli sport hall.

Two weeks of the programme quickly came to an end and it was time for the test in Slovenian.

They also received certificates on the attendance at the 16th Winter School of the Slovenian Language and "Zimopis" (a magazine containing their own articles).

Members of the Association of the Slovenians "Triglav" from Banja Luka diligently studied Slovenian and with the assistance of proof-readers learned a lot about the Slovenian history, culture and customs.
