As soon as I found out about the Vrbas Canyon hiking event, I was sure that our hiking section members would love it.
It was a great opportunity to get to know the surroundings of Banja Luka and hang out in nature in the fresh air. Eleven members signed up and we were eagerly awaiting Sunday. The atmosphere was made almost perfect by the crystal white snow, which danced in circles and lured us to join it. It worried a few of them, so they gave up due to the lack of "winter equipment" .
The start was in Ljubačevo, at a temperature of -1C, we joined the group, seven of us, and bravely set off to meet the adventure. The group was large, not to exaggerate, about a hundred people. The sun looked at us benevolently and smiled at us from the blue sky. The snow crunched underfoot, you could see crystals shining in the sun, haystacks covered in snow, trees in their festive attire partially covered in snow. Here and there, yellow and brown leaves peeked out, disrupting the perfect crystalline whiteness of the landscape. People were cheerfully talking, laughing, taking pictures of course, and enjoying the winter idyll of this truly perfect day.
We walked in the snow, one beautiful view after another, we crossed the Samar saddle and move parallel to the emerald green beauty of the Vrbas River. After some short breaks and a few hours of walking we reached the village of Krmine. We had to stop there and admire the extraordinary beauty of the Stone Bridge, which was strutting in front of us in all its beauty. Very close to Banja Luka, most of us didn't even know it existed. It had to be immortalized with a couple of pictures. At the foot of the bridge, we also made a joint picture. Our little adventure was coming to an end. A little tired, but happy and satisfied, we headed to our bus across the suspension bridge in Krupa on Vrbas River. We took another look at the Stone Bridge, and it was so imposing, illuminated by the sun, as if waving to us "See you soon!"
