New Year's and Christmas holidays are days when we hang out with dear friends and remember the past days with nostalgia.

This was also the case during the visits that took place at the beginning of 2025. They were organised by members of the Committee for Humanitarian Social Work of the Association of Slovenians Triglav for their members who are unable to actively participate in the work of the Association.

This time we visited Marija Grujić at the Geriatric Center Banja Luka, Stanko Prosen at his house, Zora Mihajlović at her apartment and Milana Bucalo at the Geriatric Home in Dragočaj. Surprise, joy, then stories, then questions about individual Slovenians, about the work of the Association, and then stories again about how it was when they participated in gatherings at the choir's guest performances, at St. Martin's Day, at the Slovenian Day in Slatina and other events.

Marija has injured her spine, so she can no longer walk, but she would like to be informed about the events in the Association, which we would convey to her during our visits, and we promised to bring her the Bulletin. Stanko still follows the work of the Association, especially the Davorin Jenko choir, of which he was a member until recently. He gave us useful tips for further work. Zora told us to invite her to hang out, and with Milana we sang "Kje so tiste stezice". Although they all have health problems, they are full of spirit and positive energy.

It was a touching, beautiful gathering that we will repeat soon.
