On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Slovenian Association Triglav from Banja Luka hosted the Slovenian poet and writer Ambrož Kvartič.

The literary event was intended for students of Slovenian language, but other members of the Triglav Association also attended.

The writer's visit to Banja Luka was made possible through a project implemented by the Regional and Study Library Murska Sobota, and financed by the Office for Slovenians Worldwide. I had excellent cooperation with the Murska Sobota Library as a teaching assistant in bilingual schools in Porabje, and we will continue this cooperation in Slovenian associations in the Republika Srpska. The coordinator of the joint projects is librarian Metka Celec from the Murska Sobota library, who brought the writer to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and all students of Slovenian language - as a gift from the library - received a nice book gift at the end of the school year, diligently reading Slovenian books and conscientiously attending Slovenian language classes. We sincerely thank the Regional and Study Library Murska Sobota for the successful start of cooperation, and especially librarian Metka for the excellent coordination of joint events.

And who is Ambrož Kvartič? I myself only knew a few of his poems, riddles and additional books. And we waited impatiently. He came and impressed us with his exceptional performance, which includes humorous stories, poems, riddles... primarily intended for children, but also for all adults who can still find childish playfulness in themselves. Ambrož Kvartič is an actor, impersonator, singer, in short a multi-talented artist, and he is also a doctor of ethnology, a radio host, a writer of questions for the popular Slovenian quiz show Little Grey Cells and I could list more.

On behalf of the Triglav Association and on my own behalf, I wish Ambrož Kvartič a long, successful and rich literary journey and, despite his modesty, he certainly belongs to the very top of Slovenian youth literature.
