At the beginning of the school year, the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia invited all elementary schools active in the territory of regional office Novo mesto (municipalities of Novo mesto, Dolenjske Toplice, Straža, Šentjernej, Škocjan, Šmarješke Toplice, Mirna Peč and Žužemberk) to join the art competition.
They received over 100 works of art. The works were examined and graded by a three-member board of experts.
On 11 April, a big art exhibition was opened in the hall of Cultural Centre Janez Trdina consisting of works by 72 young artists who participated at the 2nd Art Competition Cultural Heritage – Detail.
At the opening, the board presented seven special awards and three big awards. All selected authors received acknowledgment for participation – Lamut's Art Palette.
Guests of the 2nd Art Competition were young artists from the Association of the Slovenians of the RS Triglav from Banjaluka. Acknowledgement went to our members Mihaela Lunić, Viktor Perušić, Ana Katalina and Elena Lunić.
