At the Faculty of Philology in Banjaluka they marked the Faculty Day, 24 May. They prepared important meals of countries whose languages they teach. The culinary specialties included Slovenian »mice« and Teran liqueur.
Slovenian food was prepared by Biljana and Anđela Babić. Professor Biljana Babić, PhD, teaches history of the Serbian language and Serbian-Slovenian language parallels at the Faculty of Philology and Faculty of Philosophy. Anđela Babić is the student of the final year and this is her second year of attending supply teaching lessons of Slovenian language and culture. Last summer they attended summer school Hello, this is Slovenian Mediterranean organised by University of Primorska. During afternoon activities there was a culinary workshop where Anđela learned how to prepare »mice«, and that is why they prepared this favourite meal known in different parts of Slovenia for the Faculty Day. Well decorated tables had, beside „mice“ and Teran liqueur, Russian caps, Czech bundles, Bulgarian cold soup, Vienna steak and other meals representing the culture of peoples whose languages they teach.
