The National Gallery is the central national institution for ancient art in Slovenia. It holds the largest collection of works of art in Slovenian territory from the middle to the 20th century.

On Saturday, March 2, three groups of Slovenian language students in Banja Luka visited an exhibition on Slovenia's cultural heritage at Banski dvor.

On Tuesday, 19 February, at 6 pm, at Banski dvor in Banja Luka, an exhibition entitled "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovenia in the Light of the UNESCO Convention" was opened.

February is the month of culture, not only in Slovenia but also with the Slovenian national minority in BiH. Thus, on February 19, 2019, Association “Triglav”, in cooperation with the Banski dvor, organized the promotion of the bilingual book "Slovenian Ethnic Minority in Bosnia and Herzegovina" by Dušan Tomažič.

The book worm is the main protagonist of The Journey of a Book, and in cooperation with the Society of Readers of Slovenia, the project was created by the Public Agency for the Book of the Republic of Slovenia.

February 8th is a Slovenian cultural holiday, the day we remember the death of the Slovenian poet France Prešeren. Exactly 170 years have passed since his death, and his words are still alive today.

Students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian from Slatina and Banja Luka responded to the literary and creative contest, which was published by the publishing house Miš within the framework of the "Reading under the Straw" festival.

On Saturday, 15 December, in the National Minorities’ Club in Banjaluka it was a lively and creative morning. Luana Malec and Urška Bonin, librarians from Library Srečko Vilhar from Koper, prepared a Lego workshop. 

December is the time to think about the year behind but also to look ahead. Children are mostly looking forward to the visit by three good men.

On 11 December 1918 Slovenian author Ivan Cankar died while the year of 2018 was proclaimed to be Cankar’s year.
