On 16 and 17 June we will be visited by a Slovenian drama actress and author Saša Pavček.

At the Faculty of Philology in Banjaluka they marked the Faculty Day, 24 May. They prepared important meals of countries whose languages they teach. The culinary specialties included Slovenian »mice« and Teran liqueur.

SALTO-YOUTH (Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities for Youth https://www.salto-youth.net/rc/see/) organised a two-day workshop in Sarajevo gathering EVS (European Voluntary Service) accredited organisations from BiH and Montenegro.

The Association of the Slovenians of the RS Triglav Banjaluka organised a concert by Academic Choir of Primorska Vinko Vodopivec on 15 May 2017 in the hall of Banski dvor.

On 13 and 14 May 2017 a gathering of pupils and students of supply teaching lessons of the Slovenian language and culture was organised in Sarajevo.

The trail of remembrance and comradeship or trail along the wire is a 32.5 km long walkaway around Ljubljana.

Pupils and students of supply teaching lessons of Slovenian, as well as members of the Association of Slovenians Triglav Banja Luka, visited Kranj, Republic of Slovenia, from 4-6 May 2017.

On holiday, 27 April, we organised a Book Night in Banja Luka. We remembered other holidays linked with the book. 23 April is the World Book Day, 2 April, Andersen’s birthday and International Children’s Book Day.

The City of Banja Luka prepared a number of cultural events this year to observe the Day of Banja Luka. One of the events was the presentation of work and cultural activities of national minorities of the City of Banja Luka.

At the beginning of the school year, the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia invited all elementary schools active in the territory of regional office Novo mesto (municipalities of Novo mesto, Dolenjske Toplice, Straža, Šentjernej, Škocjan, Šmarješke Toplice, Mirna Peč and Žužemberk) to join the art competition.
