Every year, on 26 September we mark the European Day of Languages observing the language diversity of Europe. In the European Union there are 24 working languages, and in addition there are many others, whereas in each country there are many those speaking languages from other parts of Europe and world.

The Prnjavor municipality is one of small municipalities. Its specific characteristic is the composition of population living there. Different ethnic groups from Europe have settled there. Cultural and ethnic differences in that area left a special impression.

Alliance of Slovenian Associations in BiH „Europe Now“ and Association of citizens of Slovenian origin Tuzla, organised the 4th Regional Art Colony „Slovenians in Tuzla 2017“ from Monday 14 August to Saturday 19 August 2017.

Among 42 pupils from 14 countries spending their summer vacation in learning Slovenian in Bohinj, there were also Nikša Perušić from Banjaluka and Nevena Gačić from Teslić.

From 23-29 July 2017 a summer school – Slovenian in a different way was organised by the Slovenian Migrant Association, Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and Institute for Education of the Republic of Slovenia.
